Sandhills & Rockholes

WOMEN are always responsible for collecting seasonal food, medicines and keeping water sources clear of debris. They ensure the wild onions and medicinal plants that grow near the water are kept free of weeds. Women always collect in groups and often a larger group will consist of older women teaching the younger how to find and handle the foods and medicines.

Sandhills & Rockholes depicts this collection of bush tucker and medicines in preparation for a big Ceremony, where the people in their community come together for celebration.
