River Through Shifting Sands

FREDA Price Pulla is emerging beyond the footsteps of her mother, the esteemed Anna Pitjara and comes from Utopia, 230 kilometres northeast of Alice Springs. Utopia has it’s own cultural legacy, with even now around 120 artists working within the camps that dot the area. Freda's work is particularly singular with her ability to work from a narrow colour palette, in depicting the nuances of her country. She brings the land alive on the canvas with the subtle compression of her brush.
