Bush Onion

MAUREEN'S birthplace of the Mount Barkley cattle station is now the Aboriginal owned Yuelamu. A very accomplished artist who began painting in the 1980s, her ancestral dreaming’s include Emu, fire, and women’s ceremonies, which were passed down from her mother’s involvement in traditional ceremony. Maureen has, in the past, concentrated a lot of her effort toward Tali depictions. Bush Onion stands as a singular work in amongst her vast storehouse of paintings.
